

Kelly Nickels is married to Kelly Cunningham, who is the mother of actress Emma Roberts. He has made a few guest appearances at some southern California LA Guns shows since departing the band but shows no interest in being in the band.

Kelly remained in the band until mid-2000, when he left the band and music again, basically for forever. In early 1999, he recorded the Greatest Hits & Black Beauties album with LA Guns and in the fall of that year reunited with the band for the reunion tour. For a few years after LA Guns, he worked in computer graphics. Kelly then basically left the music scene. In 1997, he recorded a few cover songs for the Hollywood Rehearsal album with Mick and Phil. Kelly also replaced Sean Beavan in Burning Retna (with Mick Cripps) in 1994-95 for a short time. Kelly had remained in the new LA Guns with Chris Van Dahl & Johnny Crypt, but left the band before their initial tour in early 1996. On the "Vicious Circle" album, he sang on the song "Nothing Better to Do" as well as singing a cover of Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law" at a few live concerts. Kelly remained in LA Guns for their successful years, and left the band shortly after Mick and Phil. Kelly joined LA Guns when Phil Lewis had been hired to replace Paul Black and Mick Cripps had switched to guitar. Kelly was in Faster Pussycat right before they got signed to Elektra Records, and had left the band for L.A. Top 10 most played songs by Faster Pussycat in the last 40 concerts. After Sweet Pain disbanded, he joined Faster Pussycat. He was also in bands called Virgin Steele and Angels in Vain in the mid-1980's. He started out in a band called Sweet Pain in New York, and released one album with them in 1985. The band's style of music has shifted from the Aerosmith influenced rock to a more industrial one, much like Taime's Newlydeads.Kelly Nickels (born Henri Perret, 1962) is a hard rock bass guitar player. The band has since reformed and has recorded a new album, "The Power and the Gloryhole," which was released in 2006. Sensing the change in musical tastes, they disbanded and went on to various other projects, with frontman Taime Downe going onto form an industrial rock band called Newlydeads. They released their third album, named ' Whipped!', to little success in 1992. Yet, with the rise of grunge in the early 90s, Faster Pussycat's style of music fell out of favor, despite having little in common with several of the chart-topping glam bands at the time, such as Warrant and Slaughter.

' Wake Me When It's Over' was even certified as gold by the RIAA. Still tapping into a big audience for their type of sleazy hard rock, they had a hit with the power ballad " House of Pain". The group's follow-up, named ' Wake Me When It's Over', came out in 1989, during the last years of glam metal's commercial viability. The album reached the #97 slot on the Billboard 200 chart, and it has received praise from music critics such as Steve Huey of Allmusic, who praised it as "party-hearty" and "fun". The band released their self-titled debut in 1987, gaining some commercial success. Muscat has been the only member to perform on all Faster Pussycat releases besides Taime. GUNS continued to tour and release new music. From the mid-’90s to the mid 2000’s, L.A. Guns name again, Tracii's friend Taime Downe took the name and formed Faster Pussycat in 1985 with lead guitarist Brent Muscat. Currently on the road with the Tom Keifer Band through the end of July, the two Hollywood institutions are spending a lot of their Sonic Slam off nights. Cocked And Loaded contained the hit single The Ballad Of Jayne that went to 33 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and 25 on the Mainstream Rock charts. However, after getting financial backing if he used the L.A. The name "Faster Pussycat" was taken from the 1965 cult film "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!", which was was originally meant to title Tracii Guns' new band after leaving Guns N' Roses.
